Preferred Habitat: Sparse Jungles and Redwood Forests or open grasslands.
Diet: Occasionaly will scavenge the kills of larger predators, but will hunt dinosaurs like small Parasaurolophus and Gallimimus.
Family: Ceratosauride
Social Structure: In breeding pairs or family packs.
Description: Medium-sized, bipedal carnivore. The most notable feature of Ceratosaurus are the horns on its brows and snout, varying in size and shape between individuals, specifically adults and sub-adults. Jaws have the ability to open very wide, like Allosaurus. The teeth are extremly long and bladelike, much like a butcher's knife. Forearms are small, muscular and have 4 claws on each hand.
Behavior's: During the breeding season, male Ceratosaurus show off their large nasal horns to females, flashing them around. Besides that, the nasal horns are immensly strong, and many Ceratosaurs often use them as defensive structures, headbutting attackers and enemies in a simular fashion to Pachycephalosaurus. When attacking prey, Ceratosaurus widens their jaws as mcuh as possible, then bite deep into their preys neck area, sending their teeth deep into their prey's neck, like a Tyrannosaurus. It will then repeat the process, and wait for their victims to bleed to death. Unlike other predators, Ceratosaurus tends to aviod scavenging other predators kills, as it prefers fresh meat over carrion. Like Dilophosaurus, Ceratosaurus is a nocturnal hunter, often prowling the island in search of prey. Just as they did 145 million years ago, Ceratosaurus has a built-in hatrid for their Jurassic rivals; Allosaurus. Although it doesnt have the power to take down an Allosaurus alone, Ceratosaurus will team up with other Ceratosaurus to take down a Allosaurus.
