Social Structure: Solitary or in hunting packs that range up to 5 individuals. Packs usually have no structure unless they are a permanent pack. Rarley does a pack have females in it.
Description: Large, bipedal carnivore related to Acrocanthosaurus. Has a strong, sturdy skull with 2 large, horn-shaped crests above both eye sockets. Crest's are smaller in females and young males, and are duller in color. Long, 3 fingered forearms with large, 3 inch long claws on each finger.
Behavior's: During a hunt, Allosaurus are reckless killers, often snapping at each other while feeding. Suprisingly, Allosaurus is a strong animal, and often survive injuries that would kill other animals like Tyrannosaurus, and injuries, like a bone breaking, often heal at an alarming rate. Allosaurus is not as strong or robust as Tyrannosaurus, aslo it's bite force is not as strong as Tyrannosaurus, only measuring about a ton and a half, unlike Tyrannosaurus, which has a btie force of up to 3 and a half tons. Allosaurus packs will often follow their prey, such as a sauropod, at a safe distance. They will often trail their prey for sometimes even hours at a time untill they make the lunge. Unlike Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus will attack with their talons rather then their teeth. They will often aim for the neck, with their jaws wide open. Just before it latches onto the neck, it snaps it jaws shut, biting deep down into their prey's neck. Like a axe, it will bite down many times, hacking away at the neck. It would stab and slash, then back off before repeating the process again. Allosaurus has a distinct call, often sounding much like a fierce lion roar mixed with the blast of a trumpet. During the breeding season, male Allosaurs send out a distinc mating call. Females nearby will can in response; allowing the male to enter her territory. Unfortunatly for male Allosaurs, breeding fights almost always end in injuries, and sometimes death. After the victor of the fight chases off the loser Allosaurus, the male will flash his crests at the female, trying to impress her. Like Tyrannosaurs, female Allosaurs are much larger and mroe aggresive than male Allosaurs, and will not hesitate to attack the male without warning. After the mating process is completed, the male will quickly flee the area, as after mating the female will automatically attack the male. Female Allosaurs lay their eggs in a small hole, then she will carefully make a small 'roof' with holes in it, which will allow the embryo to breathe. After hatching, the baby Allosaurs fully rely on the female as their bodyguard. After a period of months, the female Allosaur will abandon the young, which should have reached the size of a Leallynasaura by now, and leave them to fend for themselves. Often the young willl still follow the female, but will soon be chased off by the female, and will sometimes be eaten by the female, who will now see the young as food.
